IRS Tax Debt Reduction Cases

The following are 3 cases where we settled taxes for less.

IRS Tax Debt Reduction – Case 1

Client is self employed.  The client has not filed tax returns for 4 years.

We prepared the missing tax returns.  The IRS tax debt was about $35,000.

We determined the client qualified for Offer in Compromise Doubt as to Collectability.

The IRS accepted $3,000 to settle $35,000 of IRS tax debt.

IRS Tax Debt Reduction – Case 2

Client use to be self employed.  The client came to us with $40,000 of IRS tax debt.  The client needed the last two years of tax returns filed.

We prepared the missing tax returns.  The IRS tax debt increased to $70,000.

We determined the client qualified for Offer in Compromise Doubt as to Collectability.

The IRS accepted $750 to settle $70,000 of IRS tax debt.

IRS Tax Debt Reduction – Case 3

The client had not filed for awhile.  The IRS ended up filing for the client.  The IRS tax debt was $35,000.

We decided not to file the missing returns because the client qualified for Offer in Compromise Doubt as to Collectability.

The IRS accepted $500 to settle $35,000 of IRS tax debt.
