    OIC Schedule 1 asks you to provide your contact information, to fill out Part 2 (listing out the assessments you owe to the state), and to provide proof of the acceptance of a federal Offer in Compromise.

    Although it isn’t stated on the form, the guidelines state that only individual income tax and corporate income tax balances are eligible for this type of offer. The Instructions also state that the Offer you are filing with the state must be for the same tax periods for which you are submitting an Offer for state tax debt. Finally, the reason or circumstances for being granted the IRS Offer in Compromise must continue to exist at the time you submit your Offer in Compromise to the Michigan Department of Treasury.
